I V N I Chair - Design That Doesn’t Let You Relax

This blog post is intended for enthusiasts of contemporary and conceptual design, as well as young designers and creatives interested in exploring new approaches to form and function. Its goal is to demonstrate that design does not have to be only about comfort, but can also influence behavior, awareness, and the way we experience space, while at the same time presenting a personal design expression and the thinking behind a concept.   Softness that introduces control In contemporary design, comfort is often considered the highest value. Most chairs are created to allow complete relaxation and passivity. With this concept, I wanted to challenge that very approach. A concept that raises questions: How can form influence behavior? Should design only provide comfort — or can it also introduce discipline? And what does it mean for an object to have character?
